John E. Moore

John E. Moore, 86, of Red Lion, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Flinchbaugh) Moore to whom he was married for 11 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2025 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 9 – 10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highmount Cemetery in York.

Mr. Moore was born on February 11, 1939 in Wrightsville, a son of the late Girard E. and Frances E. (Roth) Moore. He worked as a machinist for KB Motter in York, PA, and was a devoted member of the Windsor Assembly of God Church. John had a passion for stargazing with his telescope and a love of trains. He loved the Lord and was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa.

Along with his wife, John is survived by three sons, John E. Moore, Jr., Paul Moore and Joseph Moore; two daughters, Naomi Hughlett and Rachel Frey; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and his brother Robert Moore. He was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley J. (Keller) Moore.
