John J. 'Jack' Blum, Iii

Pottsville- John J. "Jack" Blum, III,75, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday evening at Manor Care, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on November 20, 1935, he was a son of the late John J., Jr. and Lauretta Richardson Blum. Jack retired from the Pottsville Parking Authority, where he served as a maintenance man at the Mahantongo Street Parking Garage. Jack was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. He enjoyed attending family events. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Winifred Gerber. Jack is survived by his sister, LaVerne Brennan, Pottsville; his nephew, Paul Martin, Forrestville, whom he helped raise; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday evening at 8:00 P.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville. Reverend Darcy Reis will officiate. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens, Pottsville.
