John E. Johnson

DURYEA-John E. Johnson, 56, of Duryea, passed away Thursday at his home. Born in East Orange, NJ on December 30, 1953, he was a son of Providence (Lombardo) Johnson of Wilkes-Barre and the late John Johnson. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed by the Skyliner Diner, Dupont. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children John E. (Terri) Johnson, Duryea; Christina (David) Perks, Nicole Johnson and Lisa Johnson, all of Plains; former wife, Jo Ann Johnson; grandchildren, Caleb, Kayle, Aubrey Rose and David; brother Maurice (Delma) Johnson; sisters Caroline Johnson, Rosemarie Johnson and Jeanette (Joe) Dougher; nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
