Joanne E. Messura

WILLIAMSPORT - Joanne E. Messura, 81, on August 30th, 2016, passed peacefully in her sleep after a long illness. Predeceased by her parents John and Ann Messura, brothers John A. Messura Jr. (Maurine), Dr. Richard M. Messura (Julia). Joanne is survived by her sister Marie J. Branges of Rockville, Md., several cousins and beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and a grandnephew. Many dear friends including Barbara and Brady Gehr. Joanne was a retired executive in the chemical industry and a trail blazer for women in business. Her greatest legacy were the dozens of abused and homeless animals she rescued and cared for over her lifetime. Please consider a donation to your local Humane Society in her memory.
