Joanne G. (Baublitz) Gotwalt

YORK – Joanne G. (Baublitz) Gotwalt, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 23, 2025, at Country Meadows of York-South Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Clyde L. Gotwalt, Jr., to whom she was married for 57 years.

Born December 14, 1938, in York, she was a daughter of the late Roy V. and Minnie C. (Sellers) Baublitz. For most of her working life, she was a homemaker, tending to her house and family. Outside of taking care of her family, she was a member of Glenview Alliance Church. Joanne enjoyed reading, taking walks, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Surviving are her three children, William H. “Bill” Gotwalt and his wife Pamala, Steven W. Gotwalt and his wife Heather, and Cheryl L. Wilson and her husband Shane; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, R. Donald Baublitz. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde and two sisters, Rosie Eminheiser and Jean Lindt.

A private burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is assisting the family with arrangements.
