Joann (Abreght) Ruby

SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP- JoAnn (Abreght) Ruby, 69, of York, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at York Hospital. Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Ruby was born in York on July 14, 1938, a daughter of Nellie V. (Parr) Abreght of York and the late Lehman S. Abreght. She retired from the Accounting Department at Memorial Hospital in York. She was a graduate of Central York High School, a member of Shiloh American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and an avid bingo player. Mrs. Ruby leaves two sons: Mark A. Ruby of York and Michael E. Ruby and his wife Lena of Maryville, TN, a grandson, Justin Black, a brother, Donald Abreght and his wife Jean of York, and a nephew, Troy Abreght of Mt. Wolf. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation of Central PA.
