Jimmy Wayne Shaffer

WINDSOR – Jimmy Wayne Shaffer, 74, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Ramona R. Derksen-Shaffer to whom he was married for 33 years. Born January 21, 1947 in Austin, TX; a son of the late Clarence and Bertha Lee (Brodbeck) Shaffer, he retired from York Housing Authority in 2013 after 13 years of service. Jimmy was a US Army veteran of The Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Shaffer is survived by a daughter, Angela M. Shaffer of West York; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Shaffer; and three sisters, Carol Yarborough, Linda Johndrow, and Karen Wold. Tribute services will be private.
