Jim E. Kurtz

Jim E. Kurtz, 56, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at UPMC—Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Amy L. (Kuritz) Kurtz whom he married May 27, 1994.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00AM, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, February 16th and Friday from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Born October 29, 1966 in York, he was a son of the late Barry L. Kurtz and Coralie A. (Watson) Kurtz Ingoe.

He was employed as a Senior Engineer with Flowserve Corp in Taneytown, MD.

Jim was a member of the Prince Athletic Assoc., and currently sat on their board, he was also a member of the B & D Club, Viking Athletic Assoc., White Rose Motorcycle Club, 9th Ward Republican Club, W. Manchester V.F.W, Hawks Club and Grassflat Loyal Order of Moose.

In addition to his wife, Jim is also survived by one son, Geno Kurtz and wife, Ali; one daughter, Emily Kurtz and significant other, Jordan Christy; three grandchildren, Braedyn, Jaxon and Colton; one brother, Tim Kurtz and wife, Cheryl; two step-siblings, Tammy Lytle and husband, Conrad and Brad Ingoe and wife, Laurie; mother and father-in-law, Thomas Sr., and Nancy Kuritz; sister-in-law, Pamela Groendyk and significate other, Kevin Heagerty; brother-in-law, Thomas Kuritz and wife, Lora and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Gerald Ingoe.
