Listen to Obituary

Jeffrey C. Kelly, 73, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at his residence in Windsor Township. He was the husband of Rebecca A. (Posego) Kelly to whom he was married for 40 years.

Born May 20, 1953 in Elkins, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John F. and Molly C. (Anderson) Kelly.

He was a high school history teacher with Kennard-Dale School District for several years until his retirement.

He found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially playing his guitar and listening to music that brought back cherished memories. A lifelong student of the past, he loved reading about history and could often be found watching documentaries and programs covering historical events. He was also a devoted fan of West Virginia University football, faithfully cheering on the Mountaineers each season and rarely missing an opportunity to watch a game.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kelly is also survived by his brother, John A. Kelly of Texas, many nieces and nephews and his loyal four-legged buddies. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph P. Kelly and his sister, Nancy S. Kelly.
