ELIZABETHTOWN-Jean Earlene (Marston) Williams, 82 formerly of York, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was the wife of Rae B. Williams. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2025.
A celebration of life service will be held ay 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles Street in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 am. The Reverend Vanessa L. Storlie and The Reverend Stephany S. Sechrist will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is honored to serve the family.
Mrs. Williams was born in Baltimore on July 5, 1943, the daughter of the late Bette Jean (Schaeffer) Marston. She worked as an EKG Technician for the VA in Baltimore and later worked as a CNA at Shrewsbury Lutheran Home.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Red Lion. She was a 1961 graduate of Mergenthaler High School. When she was in high school, she was on a Buddy Dean Dance Show and also enjoyed performing with the Tall Cedars Drum and Bugle Corps carrying the American Flag. She continued her love of the drum corps all of her years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping at yard sales, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams leaves a son, David Lee Williams and his wife Patty of Winterstown; a daughter, Deborah L. Warntz and her husband Andrew of York; three grandchildren, Jake Williams, Cara Hedner and her husband Joseph, and Ally Warntz; as well as a sister, Nancy Williams of Missouri and nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 220 N. Charles Street, Red Lion, PA 17356.
