Jean V. (Flickinger) Stine

RED LION – Jean V. (Flickinger) Stine, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Stine. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born October 18, 1925 in York, a daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Blouse) Flickinger, she was a 1943 graduate of Red Lion High School. Mrs. Stine and her husband had owned and operated Broadway Auto Parts for more than 30 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, completing puzzles, playing cards, and was an avid reader. She was also a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stine is survived by two sons, Steven C. and wife Sandra Stine of Red Lion and Frederick D. “Rick” and wife Carol Stine of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Thomas Howard, Jenelle Troxell, Susan Spahr, David Stine, Jill Posey, and Sarah Posey; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Ray and wife Patricia Flickinger of Yoe. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay J. Posey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York Cancer Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Rd., Suite 194, York, PA 17403.
