COATESVILLE — Jane (Bradshaw) Seifert, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Karl E. Seifert, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Salisbury, NC, Jane was the daughter of the late Ned A. Bradshaw and Ruby E. (Hicks) Bradshaw. She graduated from Boyden High School in 1953 and went on to earn her degree from Catawba College in Salisbury. On August 10, 1958, she married Karl Seifert of York, PA, and together they made their home in York. Mrs. Seifert devoted 35 years to teaching third and fourth grade in the Dallastown School District before retiring.
Jane was a wonderful mother who was always there when she was needed most, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and love. She is survived by her two children, Douglas Seifert and his wife, Ruth Anne, and Susan (Seifert) Ullrich and her husband, Randy. She is also lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren: Nichole Seifert, Taylor Ullrich, his wife Ellie, Scott Seifert, his wife Carolyn, Nathan Ullrich, and Daniel Ullrich.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, PA. Visitation will take place from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by the service in the chapel with the Rev. Keith C. Fair officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is assisting the family. The service will be livestreamed on Jane’s obituary page at http://www.HeffnerCare.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
