Jane N. Artman

Jane (Neely) Artman, 86, of York, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Country Meadows of York – West.

Ms. Artman was born on April 24, 1939 in York, a daughter of the late Paul B. and Esther (Harbolt) Neely. She was a 1956 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Jane served as the Assistant Health Education Director at YWCA York in the late 1970’s and 1980’s where she was a tennis and swimming instructor, as well as, coaching the girl’s swim team. She had owned and operated tanning salons. Jane then retired in 2012 from AFLAC as an independent insurance agent after 12 years of service. She enjoyed swimming, tennis and golfing. Spending holidays and family outings with special Christmas celebrations meant so much to her.

Jane is survived by a daughter, Cherie (Artman) Taylor and husband Daniel K. Taylor of Pequea; four sons, G. Fred Artman and fiancé Rebecca (Krone) Fisher of York, Brian Artman and wife Tara (Hildebrand) Artman of Wrightsville, Steven Artman and wife Tina (Ditzler) Artman of Manchester, and Doran Artman and wife Amy (Matthews) Artman of Lititz; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert P. Neely of Lewes, DE; and a brother in law, Wayne Neff of Lewes, DE. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Neff; sister in law, Isabel M. Neely; and grandson, Brandon Artman.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 1-1:30 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
