Jane N. Artman

Jane (Neely) Artman, 86, of York, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Country Meadows of York – West.

Ms. Artman was born on April 24, 1939 in York, a daughter of the late Paul B. and Esther (Harbolt) Neely. She was a 1956 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Jane served as the Assistant Health Education Director at YWCA York in the late 1970’s and 1980’s where she was a tennis and swimming instructor as well as a coach for the girl’s swim team. Thereafter, Jane owned and operated her own tanning salons, Ultra Tan & Tone until 1989. For the next 22 years, Jane was an independent insurance agent at AFLAC until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed swimming, tennis and golfing. Holidays and family outings with special Christmas celebrations were her most precious moments.

Jane is survived by a daughter, Cherie (Artman) Taylor and husband Daniel K. Taylor of Pequea; four sons, G. Fred Artman and fianceé Rebecca (Krone) Fisher of York, Brian Artman and wife Tara (Hildebrand) Artman of Wrightsville, Steven Artman and wife Tina (Ditzler) Artman of Manchester, and Doran Artman and wife Amy (Matthews) Artman of Lititz; 14 grandchildren, James Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor, Nicole Webb, Jared Artman, Taylor Shoff, Brianna Sheehan, Hunter Artman, Lyssa Artman, Jedidiah Artman, Cameron Artman, Jayden Artman, Brelyn Artman, Patrick McGlynn IV, and Danielle Weikel; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert P. Neely of Lewes, DE; and a brother in law, Wayne Neff of Lewes, DE. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Neff; sister in law, Isabel M. Neely; and grandson, Brandon Artman.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 1-1:30 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
