James M. Henderson, Jr.

YORK – James M. Henderson, Jr., 90, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 AM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Jim’s Tribute Service will be webcast on his obituary page at www.HeffnerCare.com

Born August 15, 1932 in Philadelphia; a son of the late Goldie (Lentz) and James M. Henderson, Sr.; he was a graduate of Gettysburg College. Mr. Henderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He loved flowers, cars and trains, was an avid reader, and loved listening to classical music. Jim was a very generous person who particularly enjoyed supporting children’s organizations.

Mr. Henderson is survived by a cousin, Donald and wife Suzanne Henderson of Ithaca, NY. He was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet J. Hazen.
