James D. Fetrow

YORK- James D. Fetrow, 78, died on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Linda L. (Dasenburg) Fetrow to whom he was married 53 years.

Born on February 8, 1947 in York, he was the son of the late William H. and Catharine (Bear) Fetrow. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Penn State University. James was an engineer at the former Westinghouse now Northrop Grumman for over 30 years until his retirement.

Mr. Fetrow was a member at Messiah Church of York for over 65 years and was a member of Victory Athletic Association. He enjoyed participating in the Central York Class of 1965 Breakfast Club and was an avid Penn State fan.

Along with his wife, Linda, James is survived by two sons, Jon Fetrow and his wife, Jane of Birdsboro and Willaim Fetrow of York; three grandchildren, Justin, Marlee and Kinsley; and cousin, Joyce Potts of North York.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
