James F. Adams

YORK- James F. “Jim” Adams, 87, died on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Normandie Ridge. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Meals) Adams.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Ed Rosenberry officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Born on October 4, 1938 in Glen Rock, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Bernice (Klinedinst) Adams. Jim was a computer programmer at the former York International for 45years until his retirement.

Mr. Adams served our country in the U.S. Army.

Jim was an avid antique collector whose passion for 18th century American craftmanship has spanned more than six decades. He was a passionate Baltimore Orioles fan and also enjoyed playing tennis and attending the U.S. Open Tennis Championships numerous times in New York.

Jim is survived by his step daughter, Jo Carol Fink and her husband, David Shaw of York; step son, Lonny Neiman, Sr. and his wife, Mary of Dover; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Charles A. Adams and Lewis B. Adams and two sisters Mary Smith and Linda Heffner.
