Jacob H. Stackhouse

YORK - Jacob H. Stackhouse, 90, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Catherine S. (Rouscher) Stackhouse to whom he was married for 64 years. A gathering of friends will take place from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Private burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born November 18, 1919 in York a son of the late Samuel and Daisy (Troutman) Stackhouse, he retired from Teledyne Readco in 1982 after 42 years of service. Mr. Stackhouse was a member of Grace Lutheran Church on Jefferson Ave., York Athletic Assoc., Girard Club, Yankee Club, 13th Ward Political Club, and Spring Garden Club. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. In addition to his wife, Mr. Stackhouse is survived by a daughter, Cheryl M. and husband Richard Staub of Dallastown; a son, Gary Stackhouse of York Springs; four grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Edward Morin, Kerry and husband Kevin Scritchfield, Joseph and Suzanna Stackhouse; and two great grandchildren, Benjamen and Kellen.
