YORK – Jacinto Bayani “Jack” Saraza, of Windsor Township, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at York Hospital after celebrating his 75th Birthday (August 16) surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of the late Genara O. (Locaylocay) Saraza.

Born August 16, 1950, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Feliciano V. Saraza and Emilia (Bayani) Saraza.

Jack graduated from the Philippine College of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Advertising, and Commerce. While pursuing his studies and following graduation, he worked at Nestlé Incorporated, managing logistics and accounting. He later spent a decade with the Arabian Bechtel Company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, overseeing contractual affairs for construction, engineering, and global project management.

After moving to the United States, Jack dedicated himself to education and community, bringing joy to students at Fairfax Brewster School in Falls Church, VA, where he served as a school artist, Pre-K teacher, substitute teacher, and before-and-after-care attendant. Most notably, Jack devoted nearly 30 years to the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. He humbly began as a Clinical Account Representative and retired as Administrative Director, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues, patients, and countless lives.

Beyond his professional career, Jack’s passions were many. He loved cooking—especially his beloved pistachio cake, kare-kare—designing elaborate stage sets, and hosting “An Evening of Piano Music.” In retirement, he cherished traveling the world with family, reconnecting with friends across the U.S., Australia, and the Philippines, and creating memories with his children and grandchildren. Whether teaching his apo to cook, cheering on school events, or proudly being the most dedicated “dance Lolo,” Jack’s presence was a source of warmth, joy, and love. Some of the most colorful parts of his life will be a mystery as he was a world traveller of parts unknown. Jack was one of the most professional, social, hardworking, dedicated men, while also being a man of few words. We look forward to hearing the stories you all have to share to fill in the gaps!

Jack is survived by his son, R.J. Saraza of Los Angeles; daughter, Analiza Harry and her husband, David of York; three grandchildren, Devin Harry, Isabella Harry, and David “DJ” Harry, Jr.; his brother, Florentino “Beck” Saraza; and three sisters, Isabelita "Lit" Tomlinson, Angela “Ambie” Pamandanan, and Flordeliza "Gigit" Pautschnig. He was preceded in death by his brother, Policarpio “Pol” Saraza.
