Irene L. (Carpinetti) Muratore

MOUNTAIN TOP-Irene Muratore, 87, of Mountain Top, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Smith Health Care, Mountain Top. Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Valentino and Josephine (Barski) Carpenetti. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Steadele, her second husband, Primo Muratore; son, Leo Steadele; and sister Roberta Thomas. Surviving are her sons, Albert Steadele, Slocum; Arthur Steadele, Dorrance Township; Russell Steadele, Trucksville; Stephen Steadele, Missoula, MT; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother Libro Carpenetti, Trenton, MI. A prayer service will be held Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Joseph R. Kakereka will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
