Irene B. Kocher

YORK- Irene B. (Blakeslee) Kocher, 92, of York, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral tribute service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Kocher was born December 30, 1915 in Deposit, NY, a daughter of the late Floyd and Maude (Davis) Blakeslee. She was raised Protestant and was devoted to the church. She enjoyed her family and was described as being a wonderful grandmother. Mrs. Kocher is survived by a son, Leonard and his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; a daughter, Marilyn Ritz; three grandchildren, Tina M. Thomas, Bonnie A. Mohammed, and Rita L. Hertel; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Her former husband, Quintin Kocher, precedes her in death.
