Irene Ann (Kane) Demeo

CHESAPEAKE, VA-Irene A. DeMeo, 96, formerly of Boland Ave., Lee Park, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Chesapeake Health Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Virginia. Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 26, 1913, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (McAneny) Kane. She was preceded in death by her brothers Leo Kane, Michael Kane, and Hubert Kane; and sister, Margaret Liedberg. Surviving are her daughter and son- in- law , Margaret and Jerome Ravalli, Chesapeake VA; grandchildren Joseph Ravalli, Jerry Ravalli, and Denise Sciandra; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces Patricia Huber, Melody Finnegan; nephew Robert Liedberg . The funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Aloysius, Division and Barney Streets at 9:30AM. Officiating will be Father Anthony Generose. Friends are invited to call Thursday at the funeral home on from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
