Hung T. Luong

YORK—Hung T. Luong, 71, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at his residence in W. Manchester Township. He was the husband of Chaulong T. (Nguyen) Luong. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2025.

Born November 10, 1954 in Savannakhet, Laos, he was the son of the late Thanh Luong and Tho Tran.

Throughout his career as an entrepreneur, he operated several small businesses in the York area until his retirement.

He loved tending his garden, working with wood, cooking for others, and filling the house with music from his piano and guitar. With a gift for ingenuity, he could repair or create nearly anything using whatever he had at hand.

In addition to wife, Mr. Luong is also survived by his son, Dzung T. Luong and his wife, Michelle of York; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Lieu and her boyfriend, Keith L. Diehm of York and Olivia A. Phan and her husband, Nam of Melbourne, FL; nine grandchildren; one brother, Phong T. Luong of Hellam; one sister, Giang T. Nguyen of St. Petersburg, FL and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30AM, Saturday, December 06, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd, York. Officiating the mass will be the Rev. Peter Nguyen Hung Cuong, M.M. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:30AM, Saturday at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements.
