Hien Duong

YORK – Hien Duong, 40, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the fiancé of Rachael L. Morgan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York with Rev. Peter Rettig officiating. A viewing will be held from 11-1:00 PM Thursday at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born June 4, 1983 in York, a son of Long and Yen (Vu) Duong of York, he was a 2001 graduate of West York Area High School. Hien earned his Associate Degree from York Technical Institute. He was a Cyber Security Specialist with PA Finance Housing Agency. Hien enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music, going new places and trying new food, and was an avid Penn State fan. He loved spending time with his brothers and family, as well as, being a wonderful dad to three cats and a dog.

In addition to his fiancé and his parents, Hien is survived by two brothers, Tri Duong of Georgetown, TX and Vinh Duong of York. He was preceded in death by a brother, Quang Duong.
