Henry J. Rausch, Sr.

YORK – Henry J. Rausch, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at UPMC Memorial in York. He was the loving husband of Bonnie G. (Withrow) Rausch and the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage in June.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Interment will follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Viewings will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 and from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Full Military Honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 7:00 PM.

Born January 11, 1941 in Palmyra, Mr. Rausch was a son of the late Henry A. and June G. (Brightbill) Rausch. After returning from the Marines, Mr. Rausch worked for many years as a plant manager for Arconic. In his free time, you could find Mr. Rausch hunting, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, or spending time with the guys from the Gold Wing Road Rider Association.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Rausch is survived by a son, Henry J. Rausch, Jr.; four daughters, Beth-Ann Shirk, Bonnie Johnson, Loretta Doll, and Beth Boren; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rausch is preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Fisher.
