TROY- Helena E. (Tice) Van Horn, 91, of Troy, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Elmer E. Van Horn. The couple married June 26, 1935 and had many happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Burial will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park at a later date to be announced. Helena was born on March 27, 1917 in Mainesburg, PA, the daughter of the late Harry H. and Goldie P. (Griffin) Tice. Many in Troy remember her as one of the nurses at Troy Community Hospital. She was also a member of the Troy Lionesses Club and the Armenia Mountain Snowmobile Club. She and Elmer were true motorcycle enthusiasts; they spent as much time as they could ride their motorcycles. Helena is survived by her sister Betty Lou Mosley of Troy, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, her son Kenneth Van Horn, and several brothers and sisters.
