He grew up in Brogue, where life on the dairy farm was the daily life, centered around the needs of the farm. Throughout his life, he worked hard and enjoyed his family and friends. He had a dedicated mindset towards working and always arriving at everything early.
Harry graduated from Red Lion Senior High School in 1968. On September 23, 1972, he married Nancy Edie (Lewis). They were married 52 years. They made Chanceford Township, York County, PA their home for over 30 years. After life on the farm, he held a few different permanent jobs. He was a welder at Borg Warner, then serving years as a Pennsylvania Constable along with holding a few CDL truck driving jobs. Most recently, he worked as a driver at Edie Waste for 15 years and retired in 2012. Recreationally, Harry enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, and hunting deer, bear, and turkey with friends and family.
After retirement, Nancy and Harry moved to the mountains in Loganton, PA. Most recently in 2024, they returned to Lancaster County to be closer to their family and friends. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing various card games.
Above all else, Harry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He took care of his passing wife with dedication second to none. He loved his son and loved his only grandson very much. He enjoyed a lot of hunting adventures with them.
