RED LION—Harry Deitsch, 97, passed away Wednesday December 10, 2025 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Patrice L. (Crowder) Colin-Deitsch. The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on December 9th.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Born May 29, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Morris and Minnie (Hoffman) Deitsch. He proudly served in the United States Navy.

In 1961, Harry along with his brother Louis and friend Marvin Keyser, decided to turn their favorite hobby into lifelong careers and founded Glen Burnie Transmissions. Over the years they grew their business from a small garage and a handful of technicians to a business with 21 service bays and 20 technicians.

When Harry wasn’t working and following his retirement, his favorite past time was sitting in the sun. He loved spending time at his homes in Ft. Myers, FL and Ocean City, MD and traveling to Las Vegas.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Deitsch is also survived by one daughter, Shannon Collins of Red Lion; one son, Christopher J. Colin of Oakhill, W. Va; three grandchildren, Ashlynn, Jordynn and Canyon and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Dietsch and five siblings, Louis Deitsch, Paul Deitsch, Louise Gold, Jeanette Braun and Fanny Deitsch.
