LEWISBURG, PA - Harold L. Baker, 81, died on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Keiser) Baker who had died on June 30, 1984. Harold was born on January 30, 1926 in Lewisburg. He was a son of the late Melvin and Mahala (Minium) Baker. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII. He had retired after 31 years of service with the Milton Eagles 1208 as a bartender. Harold was a member of the American Legion, VFW, 1208 Eagles, Moose and the 40 & 8. Harold is survived by three sons; Ronald H. Baker of Watsontown, George A. Baker of Montandon and Donald L. Baker of Allenwood, one daughter; Mahala "Penny" Metzger of Lewisburg, seven grandchildren, one step grandchild, five great grandchildren, two brothers; Melvin Baker, Jr. of West Milton and Floyd Baker of New Columbia and four sisters; Beatrice Rice of Lewisburg, Verdilla Heddings of West Milton, Pauline Hauck of Lewisburg and Patricia Kerstetter of West Milton. In addition to his parents and wife, He was preceded in death by one brother; Kenneth Baker, one sister; Cornelia Price and one grandson; Carson Metzger. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, with Pastor Catrina Ciccone officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Churches (Church Hill Cemetery) with military honors. There will be a viewing 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and again 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
