Harold E. Eichelberger

AIRVILLE – Harold E. Eichelberger, 89, of Airville; passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Nancy L. (Miller) Eichelberger and the couple shared 70 years of marriage.

Born March 14, 1937 in Lucky, a son of the late Sterling L. and Mary (Hall) Eichelberger. Harold worked professionally as a truck driver for many years, but ultimately ended his career as a farmer. He loved working the land. He and Nancy were dedicated to preserving woodlands, wetlands, and farm land. In his free time, Harold enjoyed hunting, and traveling across the United States visiting National Parks.

Harold is survived by a daughter, Tallene A. Eichelberger of Airville; two sons, Robert E. and wife Martha Eichelberger of Airvlle, and Steven P. and wife Tiffany Eichelberger of Airville; a granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Scott McDermott, three great grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Madelyn Jo, and William Dallas McDermott; and a brother, Dallas “Ike” Eichelberger and his wife, Norma Jean.

A Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held privately at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Chanceford Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
