DOVER- Harold Curtis Mummert II, 53, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Karen D. (Gamache) Mummert to whom he was married 29 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 10 AM on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A viewing will be held from 9-10 AM prior to the service. A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, October 9, 2017, with the Funeral Cortege meeting at 9:45 AM at the entrance of Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York. Born November 14, 1963 in Seven Valleys, Harold was a son of Barbara (Sharp) Mummert of Seven Valleys and the late Harold Curtis Mummert. He worked as a welder for 30 years at Abex Industries. Harold was a member of the East Berlin Fish & Game Club and enjoyed going to the Thomasville Market and the numerous gun shows in the area. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Mummert is survived by a son, Austin Curtis Mummert of Dover; two daughters, Jessica Alwine and her husband Andrew of East Berlin, parents of grandchildren, Jackson Richard Alwine and Leanna Curtis Alwine; and Rachel Lynn Mummert and her significant other, Raphael Logan of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, John Mummert and his wife Carol of Seven Valleys, and Todd Mummert and his wife Shawn of Thomasville; a sister, Barbara Sue Schrum and her husband Robert of York; a niece, Abigail and a nephew, Nicholas.
