Gwen (Bohr) English

PITTSTON-Gwen (Bohr) English, 98, of Pittston, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at East Mountain Manor, Plains Township, where she was a guest. Born in Scranton on August 8, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise Webb Bohr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald English; sons, Morgan Clifford, Edward Betzhold and Robert English; sisters Sarah Hughes, Betty Yensen and Catherine Smith; brother, Jacob Bohr. She is survived by sisters, Louise Krzyna, Tunkhannock; Ann Kegel, Falls; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m.m with the Reverend Michael Shambora officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
