Gertrude "Trudy" Frey

RED LION- Gertrude Margaret “Trudy” (Posey) Frey, 79, of Windsor Township passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Luther G. “Luke” Frey.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9:30-11 a.m. Pastor Paul N. Frank will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Chanceford Township.

Mrs. Frey was born in Windsor on June 23, 1943, the daughter of the late Albert Luther Posey and Julia Marie (Garner) Shank. She attended Emanuel Lutheran Church in Freysville and was a 1961 graduate of Red Lion High School.

Mrs. Frey leaves her long-time companion, Denny Peters; two daughters, Dodie Lee Werner and her husband Ed of Dallastown and Diane Renee Wilt and her husband Bill of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Felicia Markwordt and her husband Stefan, Brett Wilt, Elizabeth Werner, and Steve Werner; a brother, Joseph “Lee” Posey and his wife Bonnie of Red Lion; a sister-in-law, Monica Posey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Posey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Farm & Natural Lands Trust, 350 N. George Street, York, PA 17401.
