Gertrude L. Conway

Renovo - Gertrude L. Conway, 86, a former resident of Pennsylvania Ave., S. Renovo died Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Williamsport Hospital. She was born September 4, 1922 in Renovo the daughter of the late Michael & Anna Rose (Barna) Jovan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Conway, two daughters, Ann Louise Conway and Alice Fye, two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of St. Joseph's High School. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters Jean (Nathan) Guenot of Moshannon and Sandra (Harry) Pettengill of Walkersville, MD, one son Michael Conway of North Bend and 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2008 at St. Joseph Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo. The viewing and Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery will be private for family members. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo.
