Gertrud (Zieglar) Snyder

YORK- Gertrud (Zieglar) Snyder, 76, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services South in York. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 9-10 a.m. Mrs. Snyder was born in Oberhaid, Germany on February 27, 1933, a daughter of the late Heinrich and Kunigunda (Sperber) Zieglar. She retired after 28 years from York Hospital and then worked as a Greeter at Wal-Mart for 9 years. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York. Mrs. Snyder leaves three sons, Edward G. Snyder, Jr. of Hellam, Henry Evenson of Dover, and Steve Snyder of York; three daughters, Gwen Dorsa of Louisiana, Christine Roth of Dover, and Kimberly Snyder of York; ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
