SHORTSVILLE, NY- Geraldine A. “Gerri” Kopp, 68, formerly of York, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Rochester General Hospital. She was the wife of the late John R. Kopp, Jr. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. Her son-in-law, Gregg Canoy will be officiating at the service. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Gerri's obituary at HeffnerCare.com Gerri was born in York, the daughter of the late Ralph and Valencia (Skocik) Wiley. She worked as a bartender and manager for several restaurants, including White Rose Bar and Grill in York, the former Talk of the Town, the former San Carlos, and Ramada Inn. She also worked for Caterpillar. Gerri was an outgoing people person. She enjoyed serving others. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She never met a stranger. She loved to laugh, play jokes, and have fun. She was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed gardening, and caring for her plants. Most of all she loved her grandkids, who affectionately called her Bubba. Gerri leaves a daughter Brandy J. Canoy, and her husband Gregg of McKinney, TX; two sons, Andrew W. Kopp, and his wife Kristen of East York, and William Landis and his wife Jennifer of East York; her companion John Daniels of Shortsville, NY; ten grandchildren; a great grandson; two brothers, and a sister; as well as nieces and nephews.
