George M. Bruen, Jr.

POTTSVILLE - George M. Bruen, Jr., 59, of Pottsville, passed away Friday morning at his residence. Born in Pottsville on August 26, 1949, he was the son of the late George M., Sr. and Anna M. Reinhart Bruen. He was a 1967 graduate of Pottsville High School. George was a maintenance mechanic for the Schuylkill County Housing Authority. He was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Society of the 5th Division. George is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jane M. Lewis Bruen, of Pottsville; his daughter, Kimberly A. Quinn, wife of Robert, III, of Palo Alto; his two sons, Heath and Randy Bruen, both of Pottsville; his four grandchildren, Dylan, R.J. and Elliott Quinn and Tori Quandel; his sister, Louise Heffner, wife of Jack, of Pottsville; his niece, Kelly Heffner and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
