George J. Neubauer Jr.

HANOVER—George J. Neubauer Jr., 55, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2024 at his residence in Hanover Borough.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 AM Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Born December 30, 1968 in York, he was of the son of the late George J. Neubauer Sr., and Mary A. (Amspacker) Neubauer.

Most of his working career was dedicated to truck driving and was employed with several companies including Bulkmatic and Performance Food Group.

George loved volunteering with the Manchester Fire Department in Carroll County, Maryland. He eventually became a senior Firefighter/EMT and later also volunteered with Hanover Fire Department. An avid Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed drag racing, watching baseball, listening to 90’s rock music, traveling, following the news and listening to the fire scanner.

He is survived by his daughter, Miranda H. Powers and her husband, Christopher of New Oxford; one sister, Mary A. Neubauer of Monroeville; one brother, Jonathan A. Neubauer of Manchester, MD and many aunts, uncle and cousins on both sides of the family.
