George H. Jones

WILKES-BARRE-George H. Jones, 95, of Wilkes-Barre died Saturday evening at Golden Living Health Center. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 16, 1913, he was a son of the late Reuben and Mary (Linsenberger) Jones. He served during WWII in the US Navy. Prior to retirement, he worked as a machinist at SKF Manufacturing. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest and Bob Jones; sisters, Edith and Esther Jones and Helen Bohnet. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including John and Mary Daley, his caregivers; and John K., Michele, Sarah, John P., Michael and Sonya. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Reverend Janell Wigen officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery will be private. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM.
