George M. Grim, 85, of Red Lion, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at his residence in N. Hopewell Township. He was the husband of the late Mary J. (Wantz) Grim to whom he was married for 54 years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00AM, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Brian Percy. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Red Lion Cemetery.
Born January 07, 1941 in Red Lion, he was the son of the late Clair W. and Alice R. (Olewiler) Grim.
He was employed with Harley-Davidson for 40 years, retiring in 2002 as a tool crib attendant.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed the quiet of nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, or spending time at Camp Nelson in Clinton County, where he was a member for many years. He was also a member of the NRA, the York Riflemen, Craley Fish & Game, and the Ickesburg Sportsman’s Association in Perry County. His passion for the outdoors and firearms led him to attend and graduate from the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School in Pittsburgh. For many years, he shared his expertise with his friends and local community, operating a successful gunsmithing business from his home.
Mr. Grim is survived by two daughters, Connie S. Crowl and her husband, Robin and Debra Ann Koontz and her companion, John Young; four grandchildren, Justin M. Koontz, Jackie D. Stauffer, Cory S. Crowl and his companion, Betty Penrod and Amanda M. Crowl and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan L. Crowl.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Craley Fish & Game, 50 Fish and Game Rd, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
