George H. Daugherty

YORK - George H. Daugherty, 97, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Kingston Court Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was the loving husband of the late, Romaine L. (Peters) Daugherty.

Born September 23, 1927 in York, George was a son of the late Eli S. and Grace E. (Leader) Daugherty. George worked for many years as a forklift opperator for American Chain Company, and later ACCO. 

George is survived by his son, Geoffrey L. Daugherty and his wife Robin; a granddaughter, Shanna R. Daugherty; and a brother, Clair Daugherty. In addition to his wife, George is preceded in death by a son, Gerald L. Daugherty; and eight siblings. 

A Graveside Service for George will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Blymire Cemetery.
