Gene E. Rehn, Sr.

LEWISBERRY- Gene E. Rehn, Sr., 78, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was the husband of the late Nancy R. (Dietrich) Rehn. The couple wed on December 2, 1967.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Tri-County Memorial Gardens, 740 Wyndamere Rd., Lewisberry with Pastor Steve Forry officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, is honored to serve the family.

Born on December 18, 1947 in Roaring Springs, he was a son of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Brown) Rehn. After graduating from Cedar Cliff High School, Gene worked as a Supply Sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard, serving our country for over 35 years. He also served as a military recruiter and was the number one recruiter in PA for 5 years in a row.

Mr. Rehn enjoyed playing softball in his younger years. He was an all-around great guy who loved to lend a helping hand. Most of all, he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Gene is survived by his son, Gene E. Rehn, Jr. of Lewisberry; daughter, Vicki Pilkington of York Haven; three grandchildren, James D. Strausbaugh and his wife, Tia on Linglestown, Sarah L. Strausbaugh of York Haven and Jenny R. Strausbaugh of York Haven; and eight great grandchildren, Alexander, Alysa, Alexa, Shannon, Luka, Alaina, Blake and Madi.
