Gary L. G. Phillips

Gary Lee Glenn Phillips, 83, of York, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Celebration Villa of York.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Internment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips was born on December 21, 1942 in York; a son of the late Carl H. Phillips and Katharine E. (Smeltzer) Geesey. Following high school, Gary enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, later retiring from the military. He was a member of West York V.F.W.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his nephew, Chad Still; and his friends, Jerry Runk and wife Susan of Titusville, Florida, and JoAnn Kirkwood of York. He is preceded in death by his sister Darlene E. Still.
