Gary LeRoy Brooks, Jr.

Gary L. Brooks, Jr., 67, passed away August 12, 2026 at York Hospital. Born June 8, 1959, he was the son of the late Gail F. Mundis (Brooks) and Harwood Mundis.

He was the loving husband of Joyce Brooks, York. He leaves a daughter, Amanda Brooks of York; two sons Gary L. Brooks III and Kelly Brooks of South Carolina; two step-sons James Hoffnagle and Kevin Hoffnagle of York; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

His hobbies were going trail riding and charity events with different Jeep Clubs. He also enjoyed photography. He was a Marine for 11 and a half years. He then drove truck and worked for the city of York. He retired from American Water Waste Treatment Plant.

Gary leaves a half-brother, Scott Brooks and numerous step brothers and step sisters. He was preceded in death his parents and a step brother.
