Freda K. (Hivner) Harrison

RED LION - Freda K. [Hivner] Harrison, 81, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Earl C. Harrison. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Kenneth R. Gibson officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-7:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Windsor Church of God Cemetery. Born March 21, 1927 in Long Level, a daughter of the late Ralph and Iva [Hawk] Hivner, she retired from Danskin Inc. and had also worked for various cigar companies in Red Lion. She was a member of Pleasant View Brethren in Christ Church, AARP, and was active with VFW's in the York area. Mrs. Harrison is survived by a daughter, Darlene M. Gipson of Jefferson, GA; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen S. Hess; and two sisters and a brother.
