Frank W. Nied

FELTON- Frank Walter (Niedzielski) Nied, 87, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Dallastown Nursing Center. He was the husband of R. Elaine (Escue) Nied. The couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on April 28, 2026.

Mr. Nied was born in Chicago, Cook County, IL on May 3, 1939, the son of the late Walter and Antionette (Stanoch) Niedzielski. Frank lost his mother at one week of age. His father remarried Mary Peslak, who became a mother to him and his twin sister MaryAnn. Mary was a truly wonderful lady.

Frank worked for over 30 years with R. R. Donnelly and Sons Printing Company, having worked at five different plants in five states. After retiring from Donnelly, he worked for 17 years at UPM, a Finnish Paper Company as a Transport Quality Supervisor. He was able to see many countries during his travel for UPM. He also made many friends with whom he kept in touch. Even following retirement, he always had to be doing something. Work was his life along with his family. Now he can rest, we all love him.

Along with his wife Elaine, Frank leaves six children: Charles Nied of California, Lisa (Armondo) Moreno of Chicago, Mary (Sean) McManus of Philadelphia, Jaci Nied of Disneyland, CA, Michelle Nied of York, and LeAnn Goodrum of Westmoreland, TN. He also leaves a sister, Geri Piotrowski of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Kash and Sandra Pawinski and a brother, Wally Niedzielski.
