Fayne N. (Neff) Gross

RED LION – Fayne N. (Neff) Gross, 94, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Pappus House in Thomasville. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Gross to whom she was married for 55 years before his passing in 2014.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Certified Celebrant Amy M. Favorito officiating the service. There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Yoe Union Cemetery.

Born January 31, 1931 in York, she was the daughter of the late Howard S. and Myrtle E. (Snyder) Neff. She was a proud graduate of Red Lion Senior High School, class of 1948 and continued her education at Lycoming College, class of 1950. For most of her working life, she was a homemaker, tending to her family and household. Outside of her working life, she was a lifetime member of Christ United Methodist Church in Yoe.

Surviving are her children, Nan G. DeStefano and her husband Edward of Conshohocken, and Todd H. Gross and his wife Kim of York; and two nieces, Sue Mitchem and her husband Robert of Enola and Ann Morton and her husband William of York. She was preceded in death by a brother, H. Louis Neff who passed away March 14, 1992.
