Evelyn E. Robinson

YORK – Evelyn E. Robinson, 85, went to be with her son, Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Born February 23, 1940, in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Eugenie E. (Cappello) Robinson. For most of her working life, she was a press operator for AMP Plastics, later retiring after 29 years. Outside of her hard work, she was an animal lover, especially adoring her dogs, and she enjoyed traveling, always appreciating the trips to Greenwich Village, her childhood neighborhood in New York. Her family remembers her as independent and a vibrant soul. Most of all, Evie enjoyed her time with her family and friends. Everyone that had the opportunity to get to know her loved her instantly.

Surviving are her children, Jennifer E. Willis and her husband Ronald; Carla R. Jefferies and her wife Renee, Shane R. Gates and his wife Donna, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Gates; stepson Scott L. Gates and his partner Dawn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Edward C. Gates.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, PA 17356, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name can be made to Animal Rescue Inc. located at 2 Heritage Farm Drive, New Freedom, PA 17349 in lieu of flowers.
