Evelyn B. Winter

ETTERS - Evelyn B. (Minsker) Winter, 82, departed this life on Monday, December 29, 2008 to be with the Lord. She was the wife of the late Rev. Eugene H. Winter. A viewing will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Parkville Bible Church, 800 Whisler Rd., Etters with a service to celebrate Mrs. Winter's life beginning at 7:30. Family and friends are invited to assemble again at the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to process to the church cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. burial service. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Winter was born February 9, 1926, in Hampden Twp., Cumberland County. She was the daughter of the late John and Virgie May (Sheaffer) Minsker. She was a longtime member of Shiloh God's Missionary Church in York. Mrs. Winter was a loving, giving mother and is survived by her four children, Lois A. Brenizer and husband, Charles of Lewisberry, the Rev. James E. Winter, Sr. and wife, Linda F. of Etters, Ruth N. Boyer and husband David, Sr. of York Haven, and Faith Bower of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Paige and husband, the Rev. Arthur, of Milroy, PA. She was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. John Minsker, III. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rev. Eugene Winter Ministerial Scholarship Fund at Penn View Bible School, c/o 505 Whisler Rd., Etters, PA 17319.
