Estola M. Grim

Estola M. (Leaptrotte) Grim, 91, of Red Lion, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Carlton L. Grim to whom she was married for 68 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ken Loyer of Spry Church. A viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:00AM, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born April 6,1935 in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Walters) Lee. She is pre-deceased by her sister Joy (Leaptrotte) Swirdovich.

She devoted her life to her family, creating a loving and welcoming home for those she cherished most. As a homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her family and raising her children, giving them a strong foundation of love, guidance, and support. After her children were grown, she continued to embrace her independent and entrepreneurial spirit by operating a resume-drafting business from her home.

She had a wonderful artistic spirit and a natural gift for creating beauty, especially when it came to decorating her home. She found great joy and inspiration in the pages of Architectural Digest, always appreciating the art, design, and elegance found in beautiful spaces. She also enjoyed taking piano lessons and embraced opportunities throughout her life to learn, create, and express herself. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and loved opening her home to host gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions. She took particular pleasure in organizing functions and reunions for her husband’s graduating class of 1950, helping to bring cherished friends together over the years. A member of Second Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, her faith was an important part of her life. She was baptized there. Later she was a member of churches in Red Lion. She prayed faithfully for her family, entrusting those she loved to God’s care.

Mrs. Grim is survived by two sons, Dr. Brian Grim and his wife, Julia Beth of Annapolis, MD, and Keith Grim of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Melissa Grim, Joel Grim, Andrew Grim, Abigail Talavera and Nicole Grim; eighteen great grandchildren; one nephew, Greg (Natalie) and one niece,Olga.
