Esther Lawson Barlup

LEWISBERRY - Esther L. [Lawson] Barlup, 73, died Monday, October 29, 2007 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry A. Barlup. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Born June 13, 1934 a daughter of the late Hugh Lawson and Charlotte Stafford, she had worked at Naomi's Restaurant and Mt. Zion Elementary School. She was a member of Women of Moose where she served as a Chaplain and was in the Ladies Auxiliary for New Cumberland American Legion. Mrs. Barlup is survived by two sons, Henry Barlup of Lisburn, James Barlup of Madison, FL; four daughters, Diane Miller of Camp Hill, Anita Rotharmel of Steelton, Denise Barlup of Stewartstown, and Michele Dayton of Palmyra; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Roland Stafford of Mechanicsburg; and two sisters, Hazel Noll of New Cumberland and Darla Halterman of Edgewood, MD.
